Specific Learning Disorder (SLD)/LD/ Dyslexia
This disorder is characterized by significant impairment in the development of a specific scholastic skill which cannot be solely accounted for by mental age, visual problem or inadequate schooling. In other words, the child’s performance in that particular area is significantly below the level expected on the basis of age, general intelligence and school placement. There may be:
- Specific Reading disorder
- Specific Spelling disorder
- Specific disorder of Arithmetic skills
- Mixed disorder of Scholastic skills
